MMA Republic Bantamweight Rankings (EFC TOP 5)

Rankings always seem to be a hot topic when it comes to match making in MMA. Although there is no science to these rankings , we thought it would be fun to map out the divisions in the EFC to try and establish who is in the conversation and who is not.
Important to note, we base these rankings on people that are clearly active in the EFC , not on Hiatus or retired. Things considered would be win streaks, finish rates, opponents beat and so on.
Bantamweights
Champion – JP Buys
- Cal Ellenor (7-1)
- Philippe Rouch (7-4)
- Luthando Biko (4-1)
- Francois Greonewald (11-7)
- Tumisang Madiba (7-4) Sylvester Chipfumbu (4-1)
First off I have not included Irshaad Sayed or Demarte Pena into these Rankings with their competitive futures uncertain
The Bantamweight division in the EFC is really exciting and picking out a top 5 is difficult. Ellenor realistically is 8-0 and on a 8 fight tare as a pro which statistically puts him at the top of the pile. Rouch lost to JP Buys in a battle for the Vacant title but overall has lost 1 out of his last seven which still keeps him high up. Biko is now on a 4 fight streak and has won fights in a heavier weight class, I feel Bantamweight is where he belongs and another win puts him right in the conversation if not already there. Groenewald has long been a Bantamweight Contender with 11 professional wins to his name he is still in the mix and loves to finish fights. The 5th spot was the hardest with arguments fro Gareth Buirski and Cedric doyle to Hold that spot. But the Return of Madiba and the Move to Bantamweight for Chipfumbu really throws the “Cat Amongst the Pigeons” and I feel they are deserving of cracking those rankings as legitimate future contenders.
