Brave Combat federation continues to go from strength to strength around world, with fight cards scattered with talent from all over the world, making Brave a global promotion like no other. In their 16th edition Brave will make it’s way to Jiu-Jitsu mecca, Abu Dhabi, UAE. The Mubadala Arena, under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, will play host to another star studded Brave fight card featuring the likes of 10 time IBJJF World Champion from Brazil, Bruno Malfacine facing Cristian Rodriguez Jr from USA in the flyweight division and 2 title fights. The main event features the Welterweight champion, Carlston Harris from Guyana defending his championship against Jarrah Al Selawe from Jordan. In the co-main event, reigning featherweight champion, Elias Boudegzdame from Algeria will defend his title for the second time against the 2011 NCAA division champion, Bubba Jenkins from the United States of America.
The featured bout of the prelims will feature South African stand out Chad Hanekom. Hanekom has gone 1-1 in his previous outings with the promotion with the latest of the two not even making it out of the first minute. Hanekom is one of the greatest MMA talents on the African continent and another impressive win at Brave 16 could do well to throw his name in the title conversation. Brave plans on hosting it’s first event on South African soil later in the year and there would be no greater moment for Hanekom to be crowned middleweight champion in his home town.
